Hey guys! Yesterday I went to the PREMIOS ESCENA 2008 (Panamanian Tony Awards, sorta) Nominees Announcement, and I'm so happy that the two plays where I performed received nominations and honorary mentions. "Con Ritmo Me Gusta Más" (Panamanian version of HSM, a contemporary musical/comedy) received two nominations: Best Choreography (Yilca Arosemena) and Best Supporting Actrees (Cristina P.
Contreras) which is a good friend of mine and I'm extremely glad she is nominated because she did a great job and she deserve it a lot. We also received two honorary mentions: Best Supporting Actrees (Iset Gondola -in 8th place) my beloved black bitch and Best New Artist (Josh Diaz -in 7th place) -> me! I'm so happy with my #7 although I didn't get nominated, because there were lots of contestants and excellent jobs, we did a great play all together, love ya'll pals!!The other play, "La Casa de Los 7 Balcones" ('The 7 Balcony House', an old dramatic piece from the 50's) received one nomination: Best Soundtrack (Abdiel Tapia) and two honorary mentions: Best Leading Actrees (Danitza
Barrera -in 8th place) which played my aunt and I totally respect, admire and love her!! and Best Dressing (Collage Productions -in 9th place).So, I cant wait for February 16, 2009 that will be the Award Show in The Ascanio Arosemena Theatre in Panama City, Panama.
